These Terms & Conditions govern your use of fatfungi.com and any purchase made through it. By placing an order with Fat Fungi, you agree to these terms. Last updated: 16 March 2026.
1. About us
Fat Fungi is a UK-based business selling sterile mushroom cultivation supplies, including grain spawn, substrates, all-in-one grow kits, and related equipment.

2. Products and intended use
All products sold by Fat Fungi are intended solely for the cultivation of legal edible and gourmet mushroom species. Our products are not intended for use with controlled substances or for any unlawful purpose. By purchasing from us, you confirm that you will only use our products for lawful purposes.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where we have reasonable grounds to believe a product may be misused.
3. Orders and contract
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we dispatch your order and send you a dispatch confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel any order prior to dispatch, for example if a product becomes unavailable or if we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will issue a full refund.
4. Pricing
All prices are shown in GBP (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time of placing your order. In the event of a pricing error, we will contact you before processing your order.
5. Payment
Payment is required in full at the time of ordering. We accept major credit and debit cards. All payments are processed securely. We do not store card details.
6. Shipping
We aim to dispatch orders within 2 working days. Delivery timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed. We currently ship to addresses within the United Kingdom. For full details, see our Shipping & Returns page.
Risk in the products passes to you on delivery. We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier outside our control.
7. Sterility guarantee
We offer a 40-day sterility guarantee on all unused mushroom substrate and grain spawn products from the date of dispatch. If your product shows contamination within 40 days of receiving it, and contamination is not the result of improper handling or inoculation technique on your part, please contact us with photos and your order number and we will offer a replacement or full refund at our discretion.
Contamination resulting from: improper injection technique, inoculation in an unclean environment, or failure to use the alcohol wipe provided, is not covered under this guarantee.
8. Returns and refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, provided the goods are unopened and in their original condition. To exercise this right, contact us with your order number.
Due to the perishable and sterile nature of our products, we cannot accept returns of opened grain spawn, substrate, or grow kits unless they are faulty or not as described. If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods or confirming your return is approved.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Fat Fungi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our products. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the relevant order.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Intellectual property
All content on fatfungi.com, including text, images, logos, and product descriptions, is owned by or licensed to Fat Fungi and may not be copied or reproduced without our written permission.
11. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on our website at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order. These terms were last updated on 16 March 2026.
